The Story
Responsible for redesign and consolidation of the entire crtc.wustl.edu subdomain of 100+ static html pages to a Drupal-based content management system.
- Utilized Drupal 6 for content management system.
- Wrote and designed custom themes, modules, and blocks.
- Customized the community Event module to support additional fields (such as adding an event location) by modifying both the module and the database.

The Story
Responsible for rewrite of PHP/MySQL project web application which performs statistical analysis to calculate individualized cancer survival curves based upon patient's age, race, gender, cancer type, stage of cancer, and severity of other comorbidities present.
- Collaborated with Principal Investigator and research team to outline research objectives and application specifications, contributing in-depth knowledge of user interaction principles.
- Wrote algorithm using PHP 5 to calculate survival curves and confidence intervals using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis from oncology data sets.
- Verified web application's results utilizing SPSS to ensure accuracy and reproducibility.
- Built MySQL database and populated cancer table from oncology data sets in Excel.
- Programmed dynamic charting Java applet to display survival curves using Processing.
- Changed site layout from tables to standards-compliant tableless CSS/XHTML format.
- Project recently presented at National Cancer Intelligence Network Co-morbidity Workshop and will be presented before Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.
- Recently produced a single page AJAX-enabled version utilizing jQuery and PHP web services.

The Story
Designed and developed modular 3-tier database-driven web application for recruiting and screening potential subjects for clinical trial; written in C# using the ASP.NET 2.0 framework.
- Worked with Principal Investigator and Research Coordinator to identify needs and develop plan to leverage web technologies to increase study exposure and reduce staff workload.
- Created custom ASP.NET 2.0 components for screening questionnaires.
- Designed and implemented MS SQL database; wrote parameterized stored procedures.
- Secured administration section for management and entry of subjects and questionnaires; multi-tiered administrator roles for progressively higher levels of security clearance.
- Adhered to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures; implemented rule-based security protocols to meet HRPO and HIPAA requirements.
